In 1971 I became Island Records’ in house photographer and with my graphic designer wife Marylin set up Visualeyes Ltd to work with the label’s iconic 70’s bands such as Roxy Music, Traffic and Mott The Hoople. In the latter half of the 70’s I teamed up with fellow Yorkshire photographer Trevor Key to form Cooke Key Associates, and we became Virgin Records’ agency working with their early acts such as Mike Oldfield, Tangerine Dream and The Sex Pistols. During this time we were responsible for the design of the now world famous Virgin logo.
In the 80’s and onward our renamed company Visualeyes Imaging Services became the premier reproduction company to London’s music business, building up a unique archive of pictures.
